Helen Mirren, one of the most acclaimed actors of her generation, will receive the 2026 Cecil B. DeMille Award at the Golden Globes, marking another major milestone in her distinguished career across film, television, and theater.
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced the honor, which was reported by major outlets such as Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, and The Guardian. The award acknowledges Mirren’s more than six decades of outstanding contributions to the entertainment industry and her enduring influence on audiences worldwide.
The presentation will take place during a new primetime event titled Golden Eve, airing on CBS and streaming on Paramount+ on January 8, 2026. The special will precede the 83rd annual Golden Globes ceremony, scheduled for January 11. Comedian and actress Nikki Glaser will host the show.
Golden Eve will launch what Paramount and Dick Clark Productions call “Golden Week,” a week-long celebration of Hollywood excellence across various media platforms.
Mirren’s recognition as the 70th recipient of the Cecil B. DeMille Award joins her with a distinguished group of honorees, including Walt Disney, Audrey Hepburn, Sidney Poitier, Elizabeth Taylor, Robert Redford, Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks, and Oprah Winfrey.
