The San Jose Sharks delivered their most dominant performance of the season on Wednesday, defeating the Seattle Kraken 6–1 at Climate Pledge Arena. Six different players scored, and goaltender Yaroslav Askarov continued his strong form with an impressive showing in the net.
Toffoli’s fifth goal of the season came only 30 seconds after Dellandrea’s, extending San Jose’s dominant lead. The Sharks also were perfect on the penalty kill, going 6-for-6, marking their most decisive win of the year.
“Our penalty kill was really good tonight. So that helps,” said Sharks coach Ryan Warsofsky. “I thought our game got better as the game went on.”
With this win, the Sharks (5-6-3) recorded their fifth victory in the last eight games and handed Seattle its first regulation loss at home this season. San Jose earlier earned a 5–2 victory over the New Jersey Devils on October 30, while their other wins had come in overtime.
Askarov, who stopped 36 shots in a previous 3–2 overtime win against the Colorado Avalanche, turned aside 14 shots in each of the first two periods and another 14 in the third against Seattle. The Sharks improved to a 3–3–0 record on the road.
The Sharks’ balanced scoring, stellar defense, and resilient goaltending powered them to a commanding 6–1 win, showcasing the team’s resurgence under coach Ryan Warsofsky.
