Dame Helen Mirren will be honored with the 2026 Cecil B. DeMille Award, the Golden Globes announced on Wednesday. She will receive this award during the newly introduced annual primetime special, Golden Eve.
Golden Eve will spotlight recipients of both the Cecil B. DeMille and Carol Burnett Awards. It will air on CBS Television Network and stream on Paramount+ at ET/PT. The program will feature in-depth interviews and career retrospectives, celebrating distinguished individuals from the film industry (DeMille Award) and television (Burnett Award) who have made significant, lasting contributions on and off screen.
Last year’s recipients were Viola Davis (DeMille Award) and Ted Danson (Burnett Award).
Established in 1952, the Cecil B. DeMille Award honors the legacy of filmmaker Cecil B. DeMille. To date, 69 individuals have received this award, including Walt Disney, Audrey Hepburn, Sidney Poitier, Elizabeth Taylor, Robert Redford, Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks, and Oprah Winfrey.
