Dakota Fanning reflects on her latest mystery drama, All Her Fault, noting how it differs from last year’s popular series The Perfect Couple. After collaborating with Nicole Kidman, Fanning shares her experiences filming her new Australian project and her thoughts on evolving under the public eye.
“There’s no dance,”
she laughs, referring to the much-imitated flash mob sequence from the 2024 Netflix hit featuring Kidman.
“There were also more laughs to The Perfect Couple. I think that this [All Her Fault] leans in more to the thriller aspect of it all. But certainly, what we’ve all learned is viewers really love mystery and trying to figure out who is a part of it … That really unites an audience.”
In All Her Fault, Fanning stars with Australian actress Sarah Snook, whose acclaimed work in Succession first caught her admiration.
“Sarah, in real life, is just amazing,”
Fanning says about her co-star.
“She’s such a talented actor and really a down-to-earth, grounded, fun person to be around. She was working so much that we didn’t hang out too much off the set. I think it’s been really important for her to recharge and refuel and be with her family.”
Based on Andrea Mara’s novel, the eight-part series follows Sarah Snook as Marissa Irvine, a distraught mother searching for her missing child after a playdate goes wrong.
In her new thriller All Her Fault, Dakota Fanning opens up about artistic growth, collaboration with Nicole Kidman, and admiration for co-star Sarah Snook.
