Remembrance Day Kitbag and Commemoration Packs

The Department of Veterans' Affairs offers resources to help individuals and communities mark Remembrance Day in personal and meaningful ways. As the day approaches, many Australians reflect on how best to honour those who have served and sacrificed in wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping efforts.

Remembrance Day Kitbag

The Remembrance Day Kitbag provides materials that can be tailored to various events or ceremonies. It includes:

“Our Remembrance Day Kitbag is designed to support you in commemorating Remembrance Day in a way that is personal to you.”

All resources are freely available for download through the Anzac Portal to support nationwide commemorations.

Commemorative Packs

To further assist in remembrance activities, commemorative packs have been distributed to ex-service organisations, schools, and community groups. Each pack includes educational materials, posters, and a 2026 calendar.

The 2025 Remembrance Day poster pays tribute to two milestones: the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War and the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Office of Australian War Graves (OAWG).

Explore and Participate

Australians are encouraged to access the Kitbag and commemorate Remembrance Day collectively or individually, ensuring the legacy of service continues to be honoured.

Author’s summary: The Remembrance Day Kitbag and commemorative packs provide free, customizable tools to honour service and reflect on sacrifice across Australia.
