On Stranger Things Day, November 6, the creators released the first five minutes of the highly awaited season 5 premiere, surprising and thrilling fans worldwide. The teaser quickly went viral across social media and received a warm reception.

The scene flashes back to the day a 12-year-old Will Byers disappeared after hiding in Castle Byers. Pale, cold, and shivering, Will is heard singing The Clash’s song Should I Stay Or Should I Go.
While hiding, a demogorgon discovers him and launches an attack. Will fires his rifle at the monster and flees for his life. After running, he reaches a tree in the Upside Down and desperately climbs to the top.
As the demogorgon pursues him up the tree, Will gathers his courage and makes a daring leap to another tree. Unfortunately, he fails to secure his grip and falls hard to the ground.
