Elder Gérald Caussé Called to Quorum of the Twelve Apostles

Elder Gérald Caussé was called to the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His calling took place on a Thursday, and he was ordained by President Dallin H. Oaks along with other members of the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.

“I’ve always had a testimony of Jesus Christ,” Caussé said in a press release. “He’s always been in the center of my life. And I know He’s our Savior and Redeemer. What a wonderful thing it is to be a witness of Christ. That’s the best responsibility or stewardship we might have in our lives.”

The Church describes Apostles as “special witnesses of the name of Christ throughout the world.” In addition to their spiritual role, they manage significant administrative duties, overseeing the growth and operations of the global Church.

Gérald Caussé, age 62, was born in Bordeaux, France.
