Remembrance Day Garbage Collection Advisory

The Ministry of Public Works and Environment has announced that garbage collection will not take place on Tuesday, November 11, due to the Remembrance Day holiday.

The Ministry of Public Works and Environment is advising that household waste will not be collected on the Remembrance Day holiday, Tuesday, November 11.

Instead, waste scheduled for Tuesday will be collected on Wednesday, starting a "roll-over" collection schedule that concludes with Friday’s waste being picked up on Saturday.

This week is designated for recycling collection. Recycling pickup days remain the same: the west end will be serviced on Thursday, and the east end on Friday.

Residents can also deliver household waste and recycling to the Tynes Bay Public Drop-Off, open on Tuesday, November 11, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Afterward, it will return to normal hours of 7:00 am to 7:00 pm daily.

For further information about waste and recycling in Bermuda visit www.gov.bm/waste or follow recyclebermuda on Instagram and Facebook.

Summary: Garbage collection is paused on Remembrance Day, with a shifted schedule for waste and unchanged recycling days, plus optional drop-off service at Tynes Bay.
