Adelaide Metro Offers Free Rides for Christmas Pageant Day
Adelaide Metro will provide free transport across all buses, trains, and trams from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 8. The initiative is designed to make it easier for families to reach the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant and return home safely.
The 2025 free travel program returns to support South Australians attending one of the state’s most cherished annual celebrations. The Christmas Pageant, recognized as the largest public street parade in the Southern Hemisphere, drew more than 300,000 visitors last year.
Extra Services and Traffic Adjustments
- Additional buses and trains will operate throughout the morning to accommodate large crowds.
- Substitute buses will run along the Glenelg tram route due to ongoing upgrade works.
- Several roads in the CBD will be closed, and some bus stops temporarily relocated for safety.
