Plot Setting
The story is set in the fall of 1987. Hawkins is deeply affected by the opening of the Rifts, uniting the group with a dangerous mission: to find and kill Vecna. However, Vecna has disappeared, and his location and intentions remain uncertain.
Adding to their challenges, the government has imposed a military quarantine on Hawkins and increased its search for Eleven, forcing her into hiding once more.
