Netflix Teases Animated Spinoff 'Stranger Things: Tales From '85'
Netflix announced a new animated spinoff of Stranger Things, titled Stranger Things: Tales From '85, set to premiere in 2026. The series is positioned between Seasons 2 and 3 of the original show and will follow Eleven, Mike, Max, Lucas, Dustin, Will, and Hopper as they tackle a paranormal mystery during a cold winter in Hawkins in 1985.
Creative Team and Format
The spinoff is created by showrunner Eric Robles alongside Stranger Things co-creators Matt and Ross Duffer. Ross Duffer highlighted the benefits of animation, stating:
“With animation there's really no limits. Erica and his team can just go wild, and they have.”
