The first footage from Avengers: Doomsday is expected to debut surprisingly early. According to Collider, the trailer will be shown before screenings of James Cameron's Avatar: Fire and Ash.
Cameron's third installment of the Avatar series, which introduces Pandora's Ash People, is scheduled to premiere on December 19. This means the Avengers: Doomsday trailer will arrive almost exactly one year before the film's release on December 18, 2026.
This extended 12-month build-up may indicate Marvel Studios' confidence in the film, sparking early speculation for a movie that has remained largely secretive.
Robert Downey Jr. is confirmed to be part of the project. Along with the casts of Fantastic Four and Thunderbolts, several MCU heroes and legacy X-Men characters will join the film.
The full cast was revealed in March during a six-hour live stream.
"Avengers: Doomsday could be the biggest film of the decade," said Channing Tatum, who plays Gambit, fueling excitement among fans about the Marvel crossover.
The early trailer release alongside Avatar's threequel highlights Marvel’s bold strategy to build anticipation for Avengers: Doomsday, promising a major cinematic event with a star-studded cast.
