The dense fog advisory for Geneva and Houston counties in southeastern Alabama is scheduled to expire at 8 a.m., according to the National Weather Service.
"Patchy areas of dense fog remain across southeastern Alabama, but it should begin to lift and dissipate in the next 30 minutes or so," said the National Weather Service.
When such an advisory is issued, it indicates widespread fog that can reduce visibility to a quarter of a mile or less, creating dangerous travel conditions. Drivers are urged to proceed carefully or delay travel if possible.
Morning fog in southeastern Alabama is expected to clear soon, but drivers should stay alert, reduce speed, and follow safety guidelines to prevent accidents.
