LIV Golf Watch: Hatton and Surratt Aim for Strong Weekend Performances
Legion XIII's Tyrrell Hatton was climbing the leaderboard during Round 2 of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship on the DP World Tour. However, two double bogeys on the back nine led to an even-par 72 at Yas Links GC. Hatton, tied for 35th, began the week with an impressive 6-under 66 and will enter the weekend eight shots behind leaders Tommy Fleetwood and Aaron Rai.
Patrick Reed from 4Aces GC recovered well with a 4-under 68 in Round 2 following a 1-under 71 in Round 1, placing him tied for 40th. Legion XIII’s Tom McKibbin, fresh from winning last week's Link Hong Kong Open, trails after rounds of 75 and 69.
At The International Series Moutai Singapore Open, Legion XIII’s Caleb Surratt remains in contention, tied for second going into the weekend. Surratt posted a 4-under 68 in Round 2 after an initial 6-under 66, sitting just two shots behind leader Soomin Lee.
Smash GC's Talor Gooch and 4Aces GC's Thomas Pieters are tied for 15th, four shots off the lead. LIV Golf Wild Card player Anthony Kim continues strong play, with a 3-under 69 after a 4-under 68 in Round 1, tied for 24th and five shots behind the leader.
Paul Casey of Crushers GC shot a 2-under 70 and is tied for 50th.
