Only Abhishek Sharma stood out with a resilient 68 from 37 balls. Alongside Harshit Rana, who scored 35 off 33 balls, Sharma helped add 56 runs to surpass the 100-run mark after Hazlewood had Australia in control at 49 for five.
Notably, Hazlewood bowled a delivery that moved away from Suryakumar Yadav, leading to the dismissal of the Indian captain.
In response, Australian skipper Mitchell Marsh played a crucial innings, scoring 46 runs off 26 balls. The hosts completed their chase with six wickets down, mainly due to India’s batters falling while attempting risky shots.
