Monmouth (8-1) continued to rely heavily on Rodney Nelson’s impressive contributions. He set career highs with 34 carries, 244 rushing yards, and 306 all-purpose yards, including two rushing touchdowns, during a 35-7 CAA victory over Bryant.
His big plays included receptions of 49 and 13 yards that helped set up teammates' touchdowns. Nelson’s all-purpose yards rank second among FCS players this season, while he leads in games with over 100 rushing yards (eight games) and 200+ rushing yards (three games).
