SPOOKY VOLUNTEERS REQUESTED FOR HAUNTED FOREST HAYRIDES
Organizers of the annual Trunk or Treat at Islamorada’s Founders Park are seeking to revive a scary-good favorite that once spooked event-goers.
As the sun sets over the park, the neighboring Plantation Key Hammock Preserve will transform into a haunted forest on Saturday, Oct.

- Goblins
- Zombies
- Aliens
- Other haunting creatures
are encouraged to reserve a spot on the trail to spook hayriders.
"We need businesses or groups of citizens to decorate a spot on the trail to be the entertainment for the hayride,"
said Anne Onsgard, assistant park manager. "They can decorate to any theme they like and use their creativity to scare and entertain guests."
