The Outer Worlds 2 offers a highly reactive gameplay experience, often drawing attention to the player's actions with humor and commentary. In my review, I highlighted the game's impressive level of interactivity, from choices in early missions affecting later outcomes to crewmate remarks about my unconventional ways of movement.
Curious about how far this reactivity extends, I tested the game by removing all clothing and interacting with various characters. As discovered by Reddit user Glorf_Warlock, several early-game NPCs respond to your state of undress. Characters like Niles, de Vries, and Kaur have unique dialogue addressing the player's nakedness.
"Niles was pretty flustered to greet me when I was in nothing but my underwear," and "de Vries was not happy to have to debrief me in my briefs."
When trying the naked approach on a late-game save, however, no characters reacted to the lack of clothing. It seems that as the story progresses, NPCs focus more on mission objectives than the player's attire. Early on, though, the variety of NPCs offers many chances to see these humorous responses.
The Outer Worlds 2 cleverly incorporates player nudity into its interactive dialogue, creating memorable moments early in the game that fade as the narrative intensifies.
