Nick Lieberman will direct the romantic comedy That Time We Met, written by Mitchell Winkie. The film, led by Pete Davidson and Ella Purnell, is being launched for sales by WME Independent at the upcoming American Film Market (AFM).
The story follows a couple who instantly dislike each other after their first date, only to discover that their unborn child is destined to save humanity’s future. Nick Lieberman, known for Theater Camp which sold to Searchlight Pictures at Sundance 2023, will helm the project.
Pete Davidson’s filmography includes Saturday Night Live, The King of Staten Island, and Dumb Money. He will also appear in the 2026 film How to Rob a Bank for Amazon MGM Studios.
Ella Purnell gained acclaim for her roles in Yellowjackets and Sweetbitter, and recently completed shooting the upcoming horror comedy The Scurry.
