Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling announced the passing of Brian Mackney, a respected alumni and legend in Toronto wrestling.
Known as “Silent” Brian Mackney, he won the hearts of Toronto fans in the 1970s and 1980s. He gained international recognition by competing in Japan with New Japan Pro Wrestling and All-Japan Pro Wrestling. Additionally, he worked in various NWA territories, including Mid-Atlantic.
When WWF took over Toronto, Brian continued wrestling for Vince McMahon for several years. Despite being deaf, he overcame his hearing impairment and achieved success many could not.

We were humbled to have “Silent” Brian in attendance this past May for our event at the former Maple Leaf Gardens and we are proud of his place and legacy in Maple Leaf Wrestling history.
