Fortiche and Riot Games Present "Twilight’s End"

The French animation studio Fortiche, renowned for Arcane, has teamed up once again with Riot Games to produce "Twilight’s End," the final cinematic chapter of the 2025 League of Legends narrative arc. The film premiered at the League of Legends World Championship in Chengdu.

The Storyline and Setting

The cinematic wraps up the storyline that has evolved across four chapters — "Welcome to Noxus," "Dark Gambit," "Beginning of the End," and "Twilight’s End." The plot focuses on LeBlanc, Vladimir, and Xin Zhao, culminating in a fierce struggle for the mystical Darkin Glaive.

An epic confrontation unfolds in the heart of the Spirit Temple, which manifests in Ionia during the so-called “spirit blossom bloom.”

In this battle, Xin Zhao and the temple guardian Yunara strive to stop Atakhan, LeBlanc’s ally, from claiming the ancient glaive that imprisons the Darkin Zaahen. Amid the chaos, Xin Zhao touches the artifact and is instantly drawn into the realm where Zaahen remains confined.

A Hero’s Sacrifice

Haunted by visions from "Beginning of the End," where LeBlanc and Atakhan’s victory would lead to Demacia’s ruin, Xin Zhao makes a desperate plea for Zaahen to inhabit his body and prevent the disaster.

Visual Style and Direction

According to Fortiche, the production embraces new visual techniques inspired by Ionia’s spiritual aesthetics and layered mysticism, creating a vivid fusion of energy, motion, and symbolism.

Author’s Summary: "Twilight’s End" unites Fortiche’s artistry and Riot Games’ storytelling to deliver a visually striking finale that intertwines faith, sacrifice, and myth within the world of Ionia.
