Environment Canada forecasts 2 to 10 cm of snow starting Sunday morning and lasting throughout the day, affecting the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
A snowfall warning is in effect for parts of eastern Ontario, where some locations could receive up to 20 cm of snow.
“This is system snow, it’s going to be widespread, so this is indeed our first widespread snow event of the season,” said CityNews Meteorologist Chris Potter.
“Keep in mind what falls might not equate to what stays on the ground,” added Potter.
Environment Canada advises motorists to anticipate challenging driving conditions and to be ready to modify their travel plans accordingly.
Summary: The GTA faces its first widespread snowfall of the season Sunday, with up to 10 cm expected and hazardous driving conditions likely.
