K-pop singer Hyuna collapses on stage at Waterbomb music festival in Macau

South Korean singer Hyuna, 33, caused concern among fans when she fainted during her performance at the Waterbomb music festival in Macau on November 9, 2025.

According to videos shared on social media, she was performing her 2011 hit Bubble Pop! when she suddenly lost consciousness. Two backup dancers immediately came to assist her before security staff carried her offstage.

Apology and reassurance to fans

Later that day, Hyuna posted a message on Instagram to apologise and assure followers that she was recovering well.

“I’m truly sorry,” she wrote in Korean. “It had only been a short while since my last performance, but I wanted to show you my best side.”
“I’ll try to build up my stamina and work hard consistently,” she added. “It will be great if everything goes my way, but I’ll do my best.”

Hyuna also mentioned that she could not recall the moment she fainted and expressed regret to fans in Macau who had attended her show.

Background

Hyuna, previously a member of K-pop groups Wonder Girls, 4Minute, and Triple H, has continued a successful solo career with a dedicated global fanbase.
