A collision involving four vehicles has caused the closure of the anti-clockwise M25 motorway at Junction 20 (A41 interchange) near Watford. The incident has led to significant delays of up to an hour for drivers.
The motorway is closed within Junction 20, with traffic diverted via the exit and entry slip roads to leave and rejoin at the junction. As of 8:30pm, National Highways reported delays around 50 minutes, with approximately three miles of congestion leading up to the scene.
“We are currently dealing with a high volume of traffic on the M25 anticlockwise at Junction 20 (Watford/Kings Langley) following a road traffic collision. We would ask you to please avoid the area at this time.”

At 8pm, congestion was reported to have stretched around five miles, reaching back to the M1 motorway. Hertfordshire Police and the East of England Ambulance Service are attending the scene.
Emergency services including @roadpoliceBCH and an ambulance are on site managing the situation.
Traffic delays currently stand at about 30 minutes on the approach, with three miles of queueing vehicles.
