CBBC Signs MoU with ICBC During the 7th China International Import Expo

The China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) on the sidelines of the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE). The agreement reinforces cooperation in supporting British enterprises entering and growing within the Chinese market.

“CBBC works with 500 companies and universities, for many of whom financial services are an indispensable component when entering China. Thus, we firmly believe that by working hand in hand with ICBC, we will be better positioned to support British businesses when investing and expanding in the Chinese market.”

ICBC London continues to deliver valuable services to CBBC members, including business introductions, registration support, and account-opening facilitation. During this year’s CIIE, ICBC provided an important exhibition platform through its pavilion, offering visibility and access for European and British enterprises seeking opportunities in China.

“This is a vivid illustration of how ICBC is enabling European enterprises, and especially British enterprises, to gain access to and succeed in the Chinese market.”

As part of the collaboration, five CBBC member companies, invited by ICBC London, participated in ICBC’s Food Pavilion this year. Another company that joined ICBC’s booth last year, having seen the potential of the Chinese market and the energy of the CIIE, decided to organize its own exhibition this year through a direct agreement with the CIIE Bureau.
