KFC and the agency Mother created an ad campaign that depicts the chain’s employees bravely delivering food in Hawkins, Indiana, despite the supernatural turmoil engulfing the town.
As excitement grows for Stranger Things’ final season, KFC joins other brands by entering the show's universe. Collaborating with Netflix and Mother in the U.K., KFC imagines its staff cycling through Hawkins to deliver orders amidst the chaos caused by rifts to another dimension.
In the series' fifth season, the military enforces a lockdown in Hawkins to control the interdimensional breaches releasing dangerous monsters, but KFC workers continue their deliveries undeterred—even as they are pulled into the Upside Down.
“KFC and Stranger Things fans know that when you have an obsession, you’ll stop at nothing for it,” said Kate Tipper, marketing director at KFC UKI. “It’s this obsessive nature that makes this collaboration a perfect match, placing KFC authentically at the heart of the Stranger Things world.”
KFC’s creative campaign aligns the brand with the intense passion of Stranger Things fans, reinforcing its image as a comforting presence amid chaos.
