On November 8 and 9, Cebu Pacific held a vibrant pop-up event at Shibuya 109 in Tokyo, showcasing the warmth and cheer of Filipino culture. This event is part of the airline’s inbound tourism campaign, “Fly to Your Happy Philippines,” designed to motivate more Japanese travelers to explore the Philippines’ famous islands and attractions.
“Japan is a key market for us, and we continue to see strong growth in travel between our countries,” said Xander Lao, CEB President and Chief Commercial Officer, during a press conference in Tokyo.
“Through this campaign, we hope to encourage more Japanese travelers to visit the Philippines and experience its diverse destinations, while making their journey affordable and enjoyable with Cebu Pacific.”
CEB operates direct flights to Cebu, Clark, and Manila from Fukuoka, Nagoya, Osaka (Kansai), Sapporo, and Tokyo (Narita), making it the top Philippine carrier serving Japan. To accommodate rising demand, the airline plans to increase flight frequencies to selected Japan destinations in the last quarter of 2025.
Cebu Pacific’s Tokyo pop-up event promotes Filipino culture and boosts Japanese tourism with immersive experiences and expanded flights for late 2025.
