Madison Beer on the Maturity and Emotions of 'locket'

Madison Beer recently experienced several significant moments, joining Bru in the Los Angeles studios shortly after walking the runway at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show and announcing her upcoming album, locket.

Album Announcement and Emotional Reaction

Just hours before her studio session with Bru, Beer revealed on social media that her fourth album, locket, would be released on January 16. She wrote and co-produced the album herself.

"I wasn't anticipating to cry after I posted it," reveals Beer. "Right before I posted it I had like a sample of the vinyl in my bed, and so I just went live for literally 30 seconds, and flashed it right before I posted just to get people excited and I started like shaking. I ended the live and then I posted my announcement, and just weirdly immediately started like hysterically crying. I don't know why."

Reflection on the Album's Significance

Beer describes the album as a turning point in her life and career, filled with deep emotions.

"I just think it's kind of the end of an old chapter, the beginning of a new one. There's just so much, so many feelings that come along with it, but yeah, I was hit with like a wave of emotion."

The bittersweet feelings surrounding locket highlight Madison Beer's growth and evolving artistry as she prepares to share this personal work with the world.
