Bollywood actor Govinda was taken to CritiCare Hospital in Juhu around 11:30 pm last night after fainting at his residence. His friend and legal advisor confirmed the incident to the Bombay Times.
The 61-year-old actor is currently stable and undergoing observation. According to his advisor Bindal, who accompanied him, Govinda experienced disorientation and unconsciousness, prompting immediate hospital admission.
“He fainted in the evening and he called me. I brought him to CritiCare Hospital. He is under observation and he is taking necessary tests,” Bindal said.
Bindal also posted on Instagram: “My dear and respected @govinda_herono1 is admitted in the hospital with complaint of disorientation and unconsciousness. Hoping his speedy recovery.”
Last year in October, Govinda was hospitalized after accidentally shooting himself in the left leg with his licensed revolver. The injury, below his knee, required an hour-long surgery in ICU to remove the bullet safely.
“I was about to leave for a show in Kolkata and had just reached my house at around 5 in the morning. I was in a rush to keep the revolver back in the cupboard when I got this injury,” Govinda explained after his hospital discharge.
Reflecting on the accident, he said, “Aur uss time par vo giri aur chal padi (it just fell and went off). I was shocked when I looked down and saw blood.”
Govinda remains under hospital care after a recent collapse, continuing a pattern of health scares that have drawn concern from fans and colleagues alike.
