The Ottawa Senators were pushed into overtime once more on Tuesday night. Despite a strong start, the team struggled to finish, leading to a 3-2 overtime defeat against the Dallas Stars at the Canadian Tire Centre.
This marked the fifth time in the Senators' last six games that they have played into overtime.
“We’re not sitting here surprised we played well. It was a hard-fought hockey game,” said coach Travis Green. “When you play good teams, I thought we had some chances to put the game away, and we gave them new life.”
The Senators showed resilience but need to improve their ability to close out games against strong opponents.
