In 2024, charitable initiatives aimed at enhancing mental and physical wellbeing across the Channel Islands received over £420,000 in funding from the Channel Islands Lottery. These grants, ranging from £2,000 to £130,000, supported projects that offer access to physical activities and build support networks to improve the lives of island residents.
Guernsey was awarded a total of £191,023 through grants and funding from the Social Investment Fund Guernsey (SIF), backed by Channel Islands Lottery resources. The supported projects focus on providing wellbeing opportunities to the local community.
In Jersey, the Channel Islands Lottery funds are managed by the Association of Jersey Charities (AJC) and the Jersey Community Foundation (JCF). Together, they distributed £236,059 in 2024 to support initiatives for mental and physical health.
Jon Taylor, Head of Lottery, said: “Across the Channel Islands, charitable organisations and individuals are working to improve the wellbeing of their communities and we’re proud to be able to support them through the Channel Islands Lottery. By providing funding and grants for projects that enhance the mental and physical health of people of all ages we are ensuring that our local communities thrive and grow despite often challenging times.”
These grants demonstrate the Channel Islands Lottery's commitment to fostering healthier communities through targeted support for wellbeing projects across the islands.
