The Winnipeg Jets snapped their three-game losing streak by defeating the Vancouver Canucks 5-3 on Tuesday night in Vancouver. This victory helps the Jets get back on track during the longest road trip of their season.
Josh Morrissey highlighted the importance of increased intensity and winning small battles throughout the game:
“We didn’t start this road trip how we wanted to, and it really comes down to just little battles. Upping that intensity and compete level, and it’s a fine line out there between winning and losing in the NHL. From the start of the game, just our 50/50 battles were a lot better and that’s 5-on-5, and that’s also special teams, power play with a couple big goals. So, it was a nice get back on track.”
Morrissey contributed significantly, scoring a power-play goal and assisting twice. The Calgary native has recorded four multi-point games so far this season.
With two games left on their six-game road trip, the Jets aim to build on this momentum.
