Balmain has announced Antonin Tron as its new creative director, succeeding Olivier Rousteing. Tron, recognized internationally since 2016 for his Atlein label, will now devote himself exclusively to Balmain.
Tron is set to present his first collection for Balmain in March 2026, targeting the fall 2026 fashion season. Prior to this appointment, he showcased his latest Atlein collection on the Paris runway for the fall 2025 season.
“I wish to express my gratitude to Olivier Rousteing for building Balmain into the global brand it is today.”
Tron highlighted Rousteing's significant contribution during his acclaimed 14-year leadership, one of the longest recent tenures in fashion.
“Balmain has a truly inspiring history. At its heart, the house embodies savoir-faire, culture, sensuality, and elegance — fashion that is radiant, precise, and bold.”
He added, “This resonates deeply with me, and I feel privileged to have the opportunity to build on this incredible legacy.”
Antonin Tron’s appointment marks a new chapter for Balmain, aiming to blend its rich heritage with modern boldness under fresh creative leadership.
