Amy Schumer has removed her pre-weight loss photos from Instagram following her recent transformation and public discussion about her experience with the medication Mounjaro.
On Tuesday, November 11, the 44-year-old comedian posted new photos in a Maison Valentino dress, captioning them: “Back on my staircase bulls*** again.” She also wrote, “I actually left my house tonight. Deleted my old pics for no reason!” This suggests she either deleted or archived her previous posts after showcasing her weight loss.
Earlier this year, Schumer shared details about her experience with Mounjaro (tirzepatide), an FDA-approved GLP-1 drug used for type 2 diabetes, weight loss, and obstructive sleep apnea treatment.
“Three years ago, I tried [semaglutide drug] Wegovy. I was puking, I couldn’t handle it. I don’t know if they’ve changed the formula, whatever. But anyway, I went on this telehealth meeting with [virtual care clinic] Midi Health, and it was cheap. I wanted to try it myself ’cause I wanted to recommend it to my friends who are nurses and teachers.”
She also mentioned hormone treatment linked to perimenopause, which improved her overall well-being.
“They put me on estrogen and progesterone because I realized I was in perimenopause and my symptoms from being perimenopause have disappeared. My hair is fuller, my skin is better, I have more energy, I want to get down more, if you know what I mean.”
Amy Schumer refreshed her Instagram presence by removing older photos as she highlights her improved health and well-being after using Mounjaro and hormone therapy.
