Elden Ring: Nightreign became an unexpected success when it launched earlier this year. Developer FromSoftware took the signature formula of challenging combat and dark fantasy exploration and turned it into a dynamic online multiplayer experience with rogue-like, repeatable matches.
The game’s first downloadable content, titled The Forsaken Hollows, was unveiled during Tuesday’s State of Play presentation. The DLC becomes available in December and continues to build on the game’s intense atmosphere.
“An academic who walks the Lands Between.”
The Scholar is said to possess impressive arcane levels, allowing powerful bleed-based attacks. The character’s advantage “through battlefield observation” hints at a unique ability, though details remain a mystery.
“An abbess who was mandated to slay the Nightlord.”
The Undertaker brings a darker theme to the roster, continuing FromSoftware’s tradition of weaving grim, lore-driven character designs into gameplay.
The DLC also includes a cameo appearance from the Dark Souls fan favorite, Artorias, linking Elden Ring: Nightreign more closely to FromSoftware’s legendary legacy.
Author’s Summary: The Forsaken Hollows enriches Elden Ring: Nightreign with two new classes, expanded combat depth, and a nostalgic touch from the Dark Souls universe.
