NCIS Spotlights Gold Star Family's Volunteer Work with TAPS

A Gold Star family's volunteer efforts with TAPS will be featured on CBS as part of the NCIS' "Tuesdays of Honor" campaign.

Jasmine Lopez was 6 years old when her father, Army Sgt. Luis Lopez, died while stationed in Germany. She recalls:

I just thought, 'He's gone, but he's going to come back,'
Lopez told Stars and Stripes about her memories of the time.

Lopez and her family have volunteered with TAPS since attending their first event at Camp Pendleton, Calif. Now 20, Lopez and her mother, Sandra, were interviewed by "NCIS: Origins" actor Caleb Foote as part of the campaign.
