Governor Bill Lee and Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter announced that Radiant has chosen Tennessee for a $280 million investment.
This investment will expand nuclear manufacturing and research and development in Oak Ridge, creating 175 new jobs in Roane County to support the development of Radiant's Kaleidos.
Radiant is the sixth company to utilize the Nuclear Energy Fund, a $50 million fund approved by the Tennessee General Assembly.
The facility will be the world's first mass-produced nuclear generator factory.
