Concert-goers are calling for refunds after part of the REDWEST Country Music Festival was canceled due to severe weather.
Derrick Yerkes is working to form a class action lawsuit against REDWEST for damages resulting from the cancellation of Saturday's shows. He already has over 500 people interested in joining the lawsuit.
"It was a disaster if I'm being fully honest with you," Yerkes said. "We were very excited to see these artists, ... I mean, my brother's girlfriend flew all the way from Hawaii and spent over $1,000 to come. We were told it was a 'rain or shine' event."
Yerkes described a chaotic scene after the grounds were evacuated on Saturday evening, stating that emergency exits were not opened, causing difficulties for attendees trying to leave.
