A tragic incident occurred in Kalaburagi district, Karnataka, where a woman librarian took her life due to unpaid salary.
A 40-year-old librarian, Aggimath, worked at the state government-run library 'Arivu Centre' in Mulakheda village. She had been working as a librarian for six years before taking the extreme step on Monday.
She stated in her death note that she was taking her life due to severe financial distress caused by three months of unpaid salary.
Her family alleged that despite repeatedly approaching the authorities about the pending salary, there was no response. The BJP blamed the Congress-led government over the incident, stating it exposed their "bankruptcy".
