Union to Address Staff Grievances at BAIC
The Bahamas General Workers Union (BGWU) is planning its next move over unresolved grievances regarding the alleged non-payment of salary increments for Bahamas Agricultural and Industrial Corporation (BAIC) staff.
Linda Sands, the BGWU representative, stated that only half of the promised salary increments were paid, with the last payment occurring in 2022-2023.

She questioned the inconsistent treatment of BAIC staff, who are sometimes considered quasi-government employees and other times treated as full government employees.
