The new format involves a final race between the top 4 teams, which determines the top 3 spots. However, this format also makes the scenario more predictable, with fewer boats on the course.The dynamic turmoil of the last fleet race was gone with only 4 races on the course.
The British and Italian teams had a good fight in the four-boat race, but the reduced number of boats limited the alternatives for tight fights and different possible results.
