High School Volleyball: Carson and South Advance to Tournament Championship

South Rowan defeated East Rowan for the third time, while Carson won against West Rowan for the third time in the semifinals of the South Piedmont Conference Tournament.

Second-seeded South (19-5) swept the third-seeded Mustangs, having previously beaten them 3-2 and 3-1 in the regular season. A notable highlight for the Mustangs was senior Alli Corl's 1,000th career kill.

Top-seeded Carson (25-3) took a 3-1 win against the fourth-seeded Falcons. Carson and South will face off in the championship game at 6 p.m. on Wednesday at South Rowan.

Carson won both regular-season meetings with the Raiders.

A highlight for the Mustangs was the 1,000th career kill for senior Alli Corl.
