The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Kazakhstan has distributed 95 billion tenge to unemployed citizens through social benefits.
As of October 1, 285,200 people were receiving unemployment benefits from the State Social Insurance Fund (SSIF), with 240,500 citizens granted payments in 2025 alone.
Eligible workers can receive social payments for 1 to 6 months, depending on their contributions to the mandatory social insurance system and income over the past 24 months.
Payments amount to up to 45% of lost income and are funded by the SSIF.
