England has become the first European team to qualify for the 2026 World Cup after defeating Latvia 5-0 in Riga.

Each of the 12 group winners will secure their place, while the four remaining berths will be decided in the play-offs, involving the 12 pool runners-up and four best-ranked UEFA Nations League section winners.
