Oxford's Underground Prison Tunnels Open to Public
Oxford Castle & Prison will host its largest Ghost Fest in October, featuring guided tours of the "haunted" underground prison tunnels.
These tunnels, located below Oxford, once held a notorious UK serial killer and will be open to the public for the first time.
- Guided tours will explore the tunnels between the former prison and County Hall.
- Visits to the castle's punishment cells, usually off-limits, will also be included.
The trapdoor leading down to the underground tunnels will be part of the tour.
