Rescue Deal Saves Over 400 Jobs at Roberts Bakery
A pre-pack deal with Boparan Private Office has secured 433 jobs at Roberts Bakery across two sites.
The investment, made for an undisclosed fee, sees the creation of a new company, Roberts Bakery 1887 Ltd, a reference to the year the Cheshire-based business was founded.
The deal comes just over a week after the fourth-generation family business filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators.
The business, which produces bread under the Roberts Bakery brand, will continue to operate with the support of Boparan Private Office, owned by entrepreneur Ranjit Singh Boparan.
