A bar and restaurant at the historic Blyth Hotel in Southwold, Suffolk, may be converted to make way for new accommodation.
The hotel, situated in an Edwardian building built in 1901, was previously owned by Adnams until it was listed for sale in November last year for over £750,000.
New owners are now in place, and the hotel is known as 'The Bay'. Plans have been lodged with East Suffolk Council to add new self-catering studio accommodation.
The plans, submitted by Brooks Architects Ltd, are currently awaiting a decision.
No official statement has been made by the new owners regarding the conversion plans.
