Bowling Green boys soccer dominated South Warren 4–0 to win the 4th Region Championship and advance to the state tournament.
The defending 4th Region champions, Bowling Green Purples, powered past South Warren 4–0 to claim back-to-back boys’ soccer titles. Baraka Gatsimbu opened the scoring midway through the first half, giving Bowling Green a 1–0 advantage that held through halftime.
- In the second half, a foul in the box by South Warren set up a penalty kick for Barzilai Ruelas, who made it 2–0.
- Arron Hinojoza connected with Christian Ramirez for a perfectly placed shot into the back of the net.
- Ramirez added another goal late in the match, closing out the Purples’ dominant 4–0 win.
The Purples will face McCracken County for the first time this season in the state tournament.
