A man is set to appear in court at the end of October, accused of causing $300,000 in damage to the sprinkler system at the Kern County Superior Court building.
The incident, which occurred last month, led to significant flooding in nearby offices and courtrooms, according to the Kern County District Attorney.
The suspect, identified as Chuck Dooley, has faced multiple arrests, including alleged violations of Health and Safety Code Section 11395 and several felony vandalism charges, said District Attorney Cynthia Zimmer.
Dooley's court appearance is a major development in a series of cases against him, announced the Kern County District Attorney.
