Canada's Team Jacobs Wins Opening Match at 2025 Pan Continentals

Team Brad Jacobs started strong at the 2025 United States Steel Pan Continental Curling Championships, defeating China's Team Xiaoming Xu 10-4.

The Calgary team, consisting of Jacobs, vice-skip Marc Kennedy, second Brett Gallant, lead Ben Hebert, alternate Tyler Tardi, team coach Paul Webster, and national coach Jeff Stoughton, hopes to make the most of their opportunity to wear the Maple Leaf this season.

This match was a rematch of the bronze-medal game at the 2025 BKT World Men's Curling Championship, where Team Jacobs won 11-2 against the Chinese team.

Team Jacobs fervently hopes it won’t be the last time they wear the Maple Leaf this season.

The event is being held at the Iron Trail Motors Event Center in Virginia, Minn.
